Dr. Jack Kevorkian

Known as "Dr. Death," Dr. Jack Kevorkian is a former pathologist who is most noted for advocating a terminal patient's right to die via euthanasia.1 In 1998, Kevorkian videotaped the death of a patient and allowed a television broadcast of the tape. He was tried, and convicted of murder and delivery of a controlled substance.2 Eight years later, Kevorkian was released from prison under the condition that he'd no longer assist with the death process in any way.3

  • In March 2008, Kevorkian announced a bid for a seat in the United States House of Representatives.5
