Just as people are multi-faceted, so is skin health. I perform cosmetic, medical, and surgical dermatology, and I am passionate about all aspects of my field.
I was raised in the Aventura area and completed my undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with honors, and receiving the Provost's Undergraduate Research Award. I received my medical degree at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, earning a Dean's Research Fellowship. My residency in Dermatology was at the University of Maryland Medical System.
I have been published in an immunology textbook and have co-authored numerous articles for medical and dermatologic journals. My work has been presented at national dermatology conferences. While in residency, I earned a Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. I am the editor of the "Make the Diagnosis" column for Skin & Allergy News online.
