North and South Carolina. I received my BS in Human Nutrition at Winthrop University. Over the course of my career, I have worked in both acute care and long-term care settings to help patients improve their health through diet and lifestyle changes. As a mother, I am particularly focused on providing a healthy environment for my two small children.
As a writer, I prefer to focus on the positive aspects of health and wellness. I believe in the holistic aspect of health: That it is multidimensional and encompasses lifestyle, mental, and spiritual well-being, as well as a personal responsibility for the people and the world around us. I believe that wellness is a positive and affirming focus on the solution, rather than the problem, and customizing your individual plan to one that reflects who you are and what is important to you.
