Paralysis of any of the twelve cranial nerves is referred to as cranial nerve palsies. Symptoms vary according to what nerve has been affected.1 Some common cranial nerve palsies are: oculomotor nerve palsy, facial nerve palsy, abducens nerve palsy, trochlear nerve palsy, glossopharyngeal and trigeminal neuralgia.2
