- Dr. Mohamadi grew up in the Cleveland Park area of Washington and attended the Sidwell Friends School before completing his undergraduate studies at Yale University in 1998. He returned to DC and attended the George Washington University School of Medicine, where he graduated in 2002.
Following medical school, Dr. Mohamadi received his training in Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, where he was selected as chief resident for his final year. He then completed his subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD before returning the to the DC area to open his practice.
Dr. Mohamadi has received numerous honors and awards during his career. In 2007, he was awarded a Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society Research Fellowship Award for his studies on the genetics of growth hormone deficiency. Related to this research, he also was selected as a finalist for the Johns Hopkins Department of Medicine Clinical Research Award in 2007 and was the winner of an Endocrine Society Research Poster Award in 2008. More recently, Dr. Mohamadi was selected as one of “America’s Top Physicians” by the Consumer Research Council of America in 2009 and as a member of Madison’s “Who’s Who” the same year.
Dr. Mohamadi treats children under the age of 18 with the entire spectrum of endocrine conditions. His areas of expertise and interests include weight management; disorders of growth, development, and puberty; hyperlipidemia (including elevated cholesterol); and abnormalities of bone, thyroid, adrenal glands, and hormones in children.
