- Dr. Miller is a native Texan. He was born in Lubbock and lived several years in McAllen before moving to Rockwall (near Dallas) where he played soccer and was an honor high school graduate.
Dr. Miller graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Chemical Engineering. While there, he played rugby for the University and the Western Collegiate All-Star team. He then obtained his medical degree at Texas Tech University where he also received an MBA in Health Organization Management. Dr. Miller completed his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Miller then received fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus with Baylor College of Medicine, at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, under the mentorship of Dr. David Coats.
