Adult ADHD significantly increases risk of common form of dementia
eurekalert.org — “Adults who suffer from attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are more than three times as likely to develop dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) -- the second most common cause of degenerative dementia in the elderly after Alzheimer's. A study of 360 dementia patients and 149 healthy controls showed that 48 percent of patients with DLB had previously suffered from adult ADHD, compared with 15 percent in both the control group and the group with Alzheimer's.” View full resource at eurekalert.org
